An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - which police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
